McConnell’s blustering wastes time

Senator Mitch McConnell’s attempts at vote getting are a waste of time. His focus should be on minimizing the regulatory impact of a train that has already left the station. Americans are already sold on the idea that Wall Street is bad. What Republicans should be doing is focusing reform on the areas that do the industry the least damage while turning some of these efforts on the consumer. You can criticize derivatives all day long but it was the default on the underlying mortgages that got this crisis started.
