Environmentalists want Obama to push climate change. Really?

Environmentalists want President Obama to push climate change legislation, right in the middle of a mid-term election cycle and the Democrats refocus on job growth. This is why ultra liberals like environmentalists catch so much heat from conservatives and moderates. They are totally disconnected from the priorities of everyday folk. People are concerned about their economic and financial futures, not the future of the snowy owl or horny salmon swimming up stream.

Asking President Obama to intensify a push for climate change legislation is political suicide. Mr. Obama has not been very successful tying climate change legislation to the creation of the long term employment needed to break the cycle of structural and cyclical unemployment. These groups apparently can’t do any better with a sales pitch to the American public.

If these groups want climate change at the top of the agenda, they should propose bill that integrates the creation of additional infrastructure and resulting jobs with climate change projects.

Get your noses out of the fresh air and smell a little realistic grit.
