Bloomberg defines centrism

According to The New York Times, New York City’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg is attempting to reignite moderate candidates of Democratic and Republican stripes across the country. Mr. Bloomberg is what I call a true centrist. Centrism should equal optimal solution and this is what he represents.

The difficulty is to get other politicians on board with this type of thinking. In order for that to happen, the mindsets of the electorate will have to go from looking at politics as a spectator sport to viewing politics as a process that focuses on solution versus the partisan bickering.
