Bringing broadband to the party

Hanging out with good friends and family on New Year’s Eve, I observed how most were using smart phones to access the Internet for information.  When you are around smart people it is not surprising that a current event or pop culture question comes up and hence starts the search for an answer.  Watching six or seven people access info via high-speed mobile put into perspective how important mobile broadband access has become.

Also interesting was how mobile broadband was used to entertain the guest.  Our host, Melissa, was able to connect her Pandora account to her home entertainment system and provide us with great sets of music.  No DJ required.  Professional disc jockeys may not like that too much, but why pay a few hundred bucks to a DJ when you can put the money toward food and drinks?
