A message from managing editor and publisher Alton Drew
The goal of Alton Drew: A Politics Blog is to educate individuals and businesses in the metropolitan Atlanta area on the performance of Georgia’s elected officials. Voters and donors to political campaigns enter the electoral markets expecting psychic and real returns on their investment in candidates and the electoral process. Our job at Alton Drew: A Politics Blog is to measure and report on those returns and the performances that generate those returns.
The editorial philosophy of Alton Drew: A Politics Blog is to provide the reader with educated insights into how current events are shaping the political environment and how political actors are impacting or being impacted by a changing political environment.
It is our hope that our observations contribute positively to your political education and that the knowledge you glean helps to increase your political capital and influence.
